National Children's Day UK 2020
Share
National Children's Day UK is all about the importance of a healthy childhood and how we need to protect the rights and freedoms of children in order to ensure that they can grow into happy, healthy adults.
NCDUK2020 will take place on Sunday 17th May (and the week leading up to it).
Usually this day/week is aimed to be full packed with ideas of getting together with families and community to celebrate with children. But in 2020, while we are all dealing with the Coronavirus outbreak, things are a little different, it is a time when everybody can help raise awareness about the importance of our relationships, the need to protect the natural world and the SMALL STEPS that we can all take to protect future generations.
The theme for this years NCDUK2020 is Small Steps, BIG Learning.
Ask your child(ren) what would make the world a better place and what small steps can be taken to make this a reality.
Even the very young have a voice and may want to express how they feel and what they see through words, drawings and videos. Look at how many rainbow pictures have appeared in windows all over the country! We want to encourage children to interact with nature and discover more about our world. Spring is in full swing and there is so much to look at in the garden, on a daily walk, even from a window.
